Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Tickr is designed to operate with minimal data collection. We do not require account registration to use the app.

• App preferences and watchlist settings are stored locally on your Mac.
• API keys entered for paid providers are stored locally on your Mac.
• No sale of personal information.

2. Network Requests

To display market data and headlines, Tickr sends requests from your device to configured third-party data providers (for example: Yahoo, Twelve Data, Finnhub, Alpaca, Massive, and related endpoints).

Those providers may receive technical request metadata (such as IP address and request details) according to their own policies.

3. Local Storage

Tickr stores local settings that may include watchlist symbols, display preferences, chosen feed/chart providers, and locally entered provider credentials.

4. Analytics

Any lightweight usage instrumentation in the current app configuration is local-only and intended for product health/behavior visibility on-device.

5. Third-Party Policies

Third-party websites and providers linked or used through Tickr are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Tickr does not control third-party practices.

6. Security

Reasonable efforts are used to protect data stored and processed by the app. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be 100% secure.

7. Changes

This policy may be revised from time to time. Updated versions are effective when posted.
